Yes. The whole point is to teach as we go. Each letter assumes you've never grown anything in your life — and meets you there.

A fruit or vegetable paired with its herbal companion every month. Think tomato + basil, cucumber + dill, lettuce + chervil. The pairings teach companion planting without making it feel like homework.
